The Socotra dragon tree or dragon blood tree is a dragon tree native to the Socotra archipelago, governed by the Republic of Yemen and located by the Arabian Sea. It has a unique appearance, with an upturned, densely-packed crown resembling the shape of an umbrella. This evergreen species is named after its dark red adhesive resin, which is known as "dragon's blood".
